A new update!!!! Wendi came out of her second hyperbaric treatment an hour and a half ago. We got to go up and see her. To us, nothing looks much different, but the nurse says that she is improving rapidly. Her blood pressure is stable and her heart is becoming more stable. They also said that she wakes up a little here and there, despite her heavy sedation and that she is responding to simple commands like 'squeeze my hand' and such. Another great sign. She has another hyperbaric treatment this afternoon, and if all is well with her heart, they will begin to ween her off the ventilator late tonight.
Hopefully she will be awake tomorrow night. We will let you know. Again, visitors are not allowed right now. If you would like to bring her cards or letters (no food or flowers) we will be happy to accept them and put them in her room. She will be so happy to know that she has friends like you.
